Odisha's Dondapati Jayaram clinches Gold Medal at 39th Jr National Athletics Championship in Bhubaneswar; CM pats his back

Dondapati Jayaram wins Gold in U-20 100m at 39th Jr National Athletics Championship, Bhubaneswar. CM Mohan Majhi praises his achievement.

Chief Minister Mohan Majhi on Sunday congratulated Dondapati Jayaram who won the men's U-20 100m title at the ongoing 39th Jr National Athletics Championship at Kalinga Stadium, Bhubaneswar, bringing the first gold medal for Odisha.

The Chief Minister applauded Dondapati through a social media post, acknowledging his remarkable performance.

"#Odisha marked a proud moment at the ongoing 39th Jr National Athletics Championship with its first medal win with a Gold. Dondapati Jayaram clinched the Gold in the Under-20 100-meter sprint. Jayaram’s incredible performance not only brought glory to the State but also highlighted the growing talent nurtured within Odisha’s athletics ecosystem," read the post of Odisha CMO on X handle. 

Sports Minister Suryabanshi Suraj also met him at Kalinga Stadium and expressed his heartfelt congratulations to him. 

Dondapati came first with a timing of 10.50s, Laukik Melge of Maharashtra, despite his best efforts finished second with a timing of 10.52s.
