The audiences were up for a pleasant evening after a divyang girl performed an enthralling dance on Sunday at a programme in Koraput.

As per reports, Savitri Pujari is a divyang with an amputated leg. She studies in Dhutiguda primary school in Koraput. Despite being a divyang, her disability did not deter her from dancing her heart out at Block level sports and cultural meet at Borigumma in Koraput.

Pujari arrived at the venue on a tri-cycle with her mother and teacher. Nobody had anticipated she will dance so well. But she left everybody in awe whoever watched her performance on the stage.

Recently, another such divyang girl was in news for her dance performance. Lima from Balipadar village under Gajapati’s Mohana block has both hearing and voice impairment. But she has never considered them as hindrances.

Her talent has now made her a dance teacher at Maharaja Krushnachandra Gajapati School for Blind and Deaf where she teaches dance steps to divyangs like her.
