Woman in Ganjam stages dharna
A woman sat on a dharna in front of the house of a man at Hinjilicut in Ganjam district alleging that the latter ditched her following their court marriage.
As per reports, Sandhyarani Pradhan and Naba Pradhan were in a love relationship. Subsequently, Naba married Sandhyarani in a court and they lived together. However, the accused allegedly ditched Sandhyarani and he is currently on the run.
Sandhyarani lodged a complaint at Hinjilicut police station following the development. However, Naba’s whereabouts is yet to be ascertained.
Now, Sandhyarani has staged a dharna in front of Naba’s house seeking justice.
“Naba proposed to me when I was in college. We married in a court in Mumbai in 2021. However, he has ditched me. I am staging the dharna seeking justice. I will not leave the place till he arrives,” said Sandhyarani.
However, no reaction from Naba’s family could be obtained in this regard.
