Direct flight from Bhubaneswar to Guwahati from October 29

In a good news for air travellers, direct flight to Guwahati will operate from Biju Patnaik International Airport in Bhubaneswar from October 29, 2023. IndiGo airlines will operate the flight service from Bhubaneswar to Guwahati in Assam on a daily basis.

As a result of the direct flight connectivity, the travelers can reach Guwahati from Bhubaneswar in one and a half hours. The first flight will take off from Bhubaneswar airport at 1:25 pm and land at Guwahati airport at 2:55 pm. The flight will take off from Guwahati airport at 3:50 pm and reach Bhubaneswar at 5:20 pm.

Bhubaneswar International Airport Director, Prasanna Pradhan informed that there are plans to introduce flight services to Jammu, Chandigarh and Surat in the coming days.

“It was the demand from Odisha to connect with north-east states. Ahead of the winter schedule, Bhubaneswar is being connected with Guwahati from October 29. The total flying time will be one and a half hours,” said Mohanty.

Earlier, passengers used to travel to Guwahati via Delhi or Kolkata. Similarly, journey by train used to take approximately 25-30 hours and direct flight connectivity from Bhubaneswar is expected to immensely benefit passengers.
