The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), led by its Central leadership, had unleashed attacks on the Biju Janata Dal (BJD) over two major issues including the missing 'Ratna Bhandar' key and opening of all four dwaras (doors) of Puri Srimandir during their 2024 poll campaigning in Odisha. With the saffron party all set to form the government in the State with a thumping majority, devotees, servitors of Lord Jagannath and the people of Odisha have become very much hopeful about the possibilities materialising soon.

All four doors of Srimandir have not been opened since the Covid-19 pandemic. Moreover, Ratna Bhandar was last opened in April 2018.

Narendra Modi, Amit Shah, BJP National President JP Nadda and other senior BJP leaders had raised these sensitive issues associated with the emotions of the people in the State during their poll campaigns. They had assured to take strong decisions on these issues if BJP was voted to power.

With BJP touching the magic number in the State to form the government, the long wait of the devotees and servitors of Lord Jagannath is likely to end soon.

Devotees & servitors hopeful

"We are hopeful that all four doors of Srimandir will be opened and efforts will be made to find out the missing keys of Ratna Bhandar at the earliest," said a devotee.

"As Prime Minister Narendra Modi has given the guarantee to open the four dwaras of Srimandir and find the missing keys of Ratna Bhandar, we are hopeful that it will be fulfilled at the earliest," said Rabi Narayan Dash, a senior servitor.

Following a resounding victory in the 2024 General Elections in the State, the time has now come for the BJP to fulfil its promises. As per political analysts, not making Raghubir Das panel report on Ratna Bhandar public and not opening all four doors of Srimandir are some of the main reasons behind BJD's defeat in the State.

Under such circumstances, it is expected that the BJP will give importance to resolving these issues at the earliest.

BJP leaders confident

"BJP is really concerned about the opening of four doors of Srimandir, finding the missing keys of Ratna Bhandar and removing corruption in Odisha," said BJP's Puri MP Sambit Patra.

"We are fully confident that all the four doors of Srimandir will be opened and missing keys of Ratna Bhandar will be found out soon for the repair of the treasure trove and counting of the ornaments of Lord Jagannath," said BJP leader and Satyabadi MLA seat winner, Om Prakash Mishra.

"The main hero of this referendum is Lord Jagannath. Hence, BJP will definitely fulfil all its promises pertaining to the Lord," said BJP's winning candidate Suryabanshi Suraj.
