While the minimum night time temperature has increased by 2-3 degrees in Odisha, there seems to be no respite from cold. Amid the prevailing cold wave conditions, dense fog in the morning has added to the woes of the residents.

As per reports, the cold wave conditions prevailed in Kandhamal, Koraput, Sundargarh and Mayurbhnaj districts.

Odisha capital Bhubaneswar recorded a minimum temperature of 16.9 degree Celsius and a maximum temperature of 30.2 degrees on Tuesday.

As far as fog is concerned, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has sounded yellow alert for several districts of coastal, interior and southern Odisha districts for the next two days.

Informing the weather forecast, Bhubaneswar MeT Centre Director, HR Biswas said, “Dry weather is likely to prevail in almost all the districts of Odisha in the next seven days. There are chances of fog and dense fog situation as well.”

“There is no chance of any major change in the minimum temperature in the next 3-4 days,” Biswas said.

Yellow Warning

Dense fog is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Puri, Khordha, Nayagarh, Ganjam, Gajapati, Cuttack, Angul, Deogarh, Sundargarh, Jharsuguda, Sambalpur, Sonepur, Boudh, Kandhamal, Kalahandi, Koraput and Rayagada.
