Apart from taking stock of the situation, awareness will also be raised among people in the area about vector-borne disease and its prevention.
The number of dengue cases has been rising recently in Saintala, particularly after the recent spell of rain.
As many as 11 positive cases of dengue have been detected in Saintala so far. While five patients have recovered, six others are currently undergoing treatment in Bhima Bhoi Medical College and Hospital in Bolangir.
As per sources, the block administration will conduct cleanliness drives and reduce breeding sources amid rising dengue cases.
Earlier a review meeting on the dengue situation in the area was conducted by the officials of the block and the Health Department.
Director of Public Health further informed that as many as 350 dengue cases have been detected across Odisha so far this year.
Concerns have been expressed over the rise in the number of dengue cases as it has doubled this year against the same period last year.
