Delhi needs double engine govt & freedom from AAP’s corruption & false assurances: BJP National VP Baijayant Panda

As Delhi gears up for its upcoming Assembly elections, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is ramping up its campaign efforts. 

Party National vice-president and election in-charge for Delhi, Baijayant Panda, recently addressed Pravasi Odia voters, urging them to support the saffron party in the forthcoming election, which is scheduled for February 5. 

Speaking at the ‘Mera Booth Sabse Majboot’ programme, Panda raised allegations of corruption against the ruling Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government, emphasising the BJP’s commitment to bring a change in the capital.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been at the forefront of the BJP’s campaign, engaging directly with booth-level party workers via the Namo app. This initiative is part of a broader strategy to fortify the party’s grassroots presence and ensure robust support for the BJP.

In this recent event, Baijayant Panda highlighted the party’s dedication to connecting with various communities, including the Odia diaspora residing in Delhi. He stressed the significance of a strong grassroots campaign, underscoring the ‘Mera Booth Sabse Majboot’ initiative, (My Booth is the Strongest). This campaign aims to bolster local support and enhance party engagement at the community level as electoral tensions mount.

“Delhi has so many problems and we need Modiji’s guarantee to solve these issues. Whatever promises Modiji has made, he has fulfilled those. Subhadra Yojana has been successfully implemented in Odisha for the empowerment of women in the State. However, the AAP government has done nothing in Delhi for the empowerment of women despite 10 years of governance. They have not provided any financial assistance to women in Delhi despite their assurances. They are only giving false assurances. They have indulged in corruption. As per the latest report, the AAP government is involved in corruption amounting to Rs 2,000 crore,” said Panda.

“After being locked up in jail for months, Arvind Kejriwal has recently come out on bail. He has duped the residents of Delhi by giving false assurances in the last 10 years and he is again trying to dupe the people. Delhi residents need to be free from this and need the BJP’s double-engine government. Then Modi’s guarantees could be implemented in Delhi,” he added.
