Dearness Allowance hiked for Odisha govt employees

The Odisha government on Monday announced a hike in Dearness allowance for the state govt employees.

The DA has been hiked from 50% to 53%. The announcement regarding the same was made by Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Majhi.

As per sources, the hike will be effective from July 1, 2024, and employees will receive the enhanced DA in cash in the current month of October salary.

Moreover, for pensioners, there will be a three percent hike in the Traveling Allowance (TA). The enhanced TA will be received by the pensioners in their October month pension.

According to sources, nearly 7.5 lakh Odisha government employees and pensioners will benefit from this hike in DA and TA.
