Deadly cobra found coiled in headlight of new bike in Odisha

In an unusual incident, a four feet long deadly cobra was rescued from the headlight panel of a newly purchased bike. The incident was reported from Ura village under Badasahi Police Station in Mayurbhanj district on Tuesday.

As per reports, a person from the village purchased the bike and drove the vehicle to his house. However, he heard a hissing sound after stopping the vehicle. After a close look, he found to his utter dismay that a huge cobra had coiled itself inside the headlight housing of the bike.

Frightened, he immediately contacted a Snake Helpline member who rushed to the spot to carry out the rescue operation. He managed to control the reptile and rescue it carefully after some time. The cobra has been released into the nearby jungle.

How the snake managed to slide inside the vehicle is yet to be established. If the bike owner hadn’t observed the snake hissing, he may have gotten injured which luckily didn’t happen. Neither the reptile nor any human being was harmed in the incident.
