View of Jeypore Airport in Koraput
In a piece of good news for fliers, two passenger aircraft will shuttle between Jeypore and Bhubaneswar every day and the flight services started on Sunday.
Jeypore Airport passengers can now enjoy improved connectivity with the introduction of two new flight services launched today by IndiaOne Air. In response to the increased passenger demand, these flights will enhance accessibility for those travelling to and fro Bhubaneswar.
The first flight will depart Bhubaneswar at 6.55 AM, followed by a second departure at 10.55 AM, both destined for Jeypore. After they arrive in Jeypore, the flights are scheduled to return to Bhubaneswar at 8.55 AM and 3.15 PM, respectively.
When contacted, Jeypore Airport director Abakash Parida said, “Previously, the flight service was available for three days a week and only one flight was there. Keeping in mind the increased demand, IndiaOne started flying two aircraft from today.”
“There is a good demand for flights between Jeypore and Bhubaneswar, hence additional flights have been introduced,” the Airport director added.
Worth mentioning, Jeypore airstrip is the third to get a Civil Aviation Airport tag in the State after Bhubaneswar and Jharsuguda.
