Dacoity bid foiled in Kamakhyanagar, 3 robbers held; 5 hand-made bombs recovered

Three criminals have been arrested by Kamakhyanagar police in Dhenkanal district while they were planning to commit a dacoity in the area. The accused have been identified as Rakesh Patra, Rajanikant Mallik, and Ranjit Mallik.

A sharp-edged weapon and five hand-made bombs have been recovered from their possession along with other items.

As per reports, a raid was conducted by a police team after getting information regarding the presence of eight criminals in an open space near Rengali canal road near Sudhakar Taila. On seeing the police team, the miscreants fled from the spot.

One of the miscreants allegedly opened four rounds of fire at the police team.

Later, police managed to nab the three miscreants after a chase. Efforts are on to nab the other criminals who are absconding after the raid.
