DA Allegations: Vigilance conducts multi-location raids on R&B Engineer in Bhubaneswar

Odisha Vigilance on Monday launched simultaneous raids at 10 locations linked to Raja Kishore Jena, Assistant Engineer (AE), Roads & Buildings Division-III, Bhubaneswar, over allegations of possessing disproportionate assets (DA) to his known sources of income.

The raids were carried out based on search warrants issued by the Special Judge, Vigilance, Bhubaneswar. A team comprising seven DSPs, five Inspectors, one Sub-Inspector, 11 ASIs, and other supporting staff conducted the extensive operation across Bhubaneswar and Nayagarh.

The following premises were searched:

1. A triple-storey building on Plot No. 226, Sector-5, Niladrivihar, Bhubaneswar
2. Flat No. E-083, 8th Floor, Cosmopolis, Bhubaneswar
3. Shop No. 16, Symphony Mall, Pahala, Bhubaneswar
4. Paternal house at Jagannathprasad, Nayagarh
5. Office chamber of Sri Jena at the R&B Division-III office, Bhubaneswar
6. In-laws’ house at Patia, Bhubaneswar
7. Another in-law’s residence at Sabaji Nagar, Nayagarh
8. Flat No. H-164, 16th Floor, Tower H, Cosmopolis, Bhubaneswar
9. Plot No. 549/3177/3368, Dumduma, Bhubaneswar
10. Office of M/s ASN Infrastructure Pvt. Ltd., 617, Barabari, Jagamara, Bhubaneswar

According to sources, the Vigilance officials are said to have laid their hands on many important documents, including passbooks and bonds, during the raid.

4) One plot vide No.1001, khata No.17 with area Ac 1.040 dcml. at Bhagabanpur,  Bhubaneswar.

5) One plot vide No.414/3340, khata No.617/329 with area Ac 0.055 dcml. at Chandaka,  Bhubaneswar.

6) One plot vide No.778/1048, khata No.225 with area Ac 0.055 dcml. at Sundarpur, Chandaka,  Bhubaneswar.

7) One plot vide No.778/1046, khata No.225 with area Ac 0.110 dcml. at Sundarpur, Chandaka,  Bhubaneswar.
