Chief Minister Mohan Majhi
The long-standing demand of Cuttack city dwellers to elevate the millennium city to a smart city seems to be not far away as Chief Minister Mohan Majhi on Saturday dropped ample hints in this regard.
Chief Minister Majhi was in Cuttack on Saturday to visit Durga puja pandals. Later, while speaking to journalists, he said his government is well aware of the Cuttack people’s demand for the transformation of their city into a smart city.

“The new government has come along with new hopes and excitement. The government is committed to forming a new and prosperous Odisha. Cuttack is a millennium city known for its unique brotherhood. It has been a long-standing demand of Cuttack people to elevate their city as the smart city. Former Minister Samir Dey also raised the matter. The government is well aware of it. In the coming days, the city will become a smart city,” said Majhi.
He said during his next visit to Cuttack, he would do a review of the various aspects of the smart city demand.
