Cuttack melody team
September usually sets the season of celebrations and festivals rolling and it lasts till the arrival of the New Year. Similarly, this year, with the onset of September, and Ganesh Puja just a day away, followed by the auspicious Durga Puja, Cuttack city is bustling with festive activities.
Melody artistes in Cuttack are engrossed in intense rehearsals, working around the clock to captivate their audiences. They are fine-tuning their beats, rhythms, and tunes to perfection. The teams have conducted thorough research on trending songs and audience preferences to deliver their best performances. With extensive efforts, they are ready to ensure that the entertainment provided to the audience is top-notch.
The preparation is in full swing by various troupes from Cuttack, including Badambadi, Dolamundai, and Pala Mandap. With limited time on hand, the artistes are focusing on trending Hindi songs along with Odia and Sambalpuri songs.
“Preparation is very tough as the trending songs that released in the market this year are quite challenging. Along with singers, the entire music team has to work hard as we want to stand up to the expectations of our audience. Our main objective behind this is to gather the love and affection of our audience,” said Bandita, a singer.
Shyam Kumar, chief of the Sargam Melody troupe in Cuttack, stated, “Melody programmes for Ganesh Puja will begin from September 7, and will continue till September 25, 2024. These programmes are scheduled every day in Cuttack, Bhubaneswar, and Puri, where Ganesh Puja is celebrated with great enthusiasm. Sambalpuri songs are the trend these days and we are focusing on delivering our best to the audiences and entertaining them through songs and dance performances.”
Jitu Mangaraj, chief of the Kings and Queens Melody troupe remarked, “Melodies have always been given a big deal in Cuttack city from the era of famous singers like Akshaya Mohanty, and Prafulla Kar. No matter where these melodies are performed, Cuttack melodies have a different charm and appeal. People come to watch with a lot of willingness and the melody teams work very hard.”
