Crane operator injured as boom falls on ship during operation at Paradip Port

A crane operator suffered injuries while a ship also sustained some damage in a mishap at Pradip Port on Tuesday.

As per initial reports, the mishap occurred at the MPB berth of Paradip port when limestone was being taken out from an MV Amnsi Maximus vessel.

The crane of Bothra Shipping Corporation was engaged in the operation when the crane boom snapped and fell on the ship. Sources said that the crane’s lifting cylinder has also suffered some damage in the incident.
