Corruption rampant in Odisha as officials demanding commissions from MLALAD fund: Congress MLA

Launching a scathing attack, Moquim alleged that the State government officials are demanding 10-12 percent PC from the MLALAD fund and this is happening as the common man is not allowed to meet CM Naveen Patnaik.

Congress MLA from Barabati-Cuttack, Mohammed Moquim, who is known for his critical remarks, dropped a bombshell accusing the Odisha government officials of demanding a percentage commission (PC) from the Member of Legislative Assembly Local Area Development (MLALAD) Fund.

Launching a scathing attack, Moquim alleged that the State government officials are demanding 10-12 percent PC from the MLALAD fund and this is happening as the common man is not allowed to meet CM Naveen Patnaik.

“It is shameful when government officials demand PC to clear bills for works done using MLALAD fund. Corruption has been legalised in Odisha,” Moquim said.

No comments have been received from the concerned govt officials.

Recently, Moquim hogged the headlines for his 'anti-party' remarks when he told that there is no popular face in Odisha Congress following the vacuum created by Janaki Patnaik, Basant Biswal and Hemanand Biswal.

The disciplinary panel of the All India Congress Committee (AICC) of Indian National Congress (INC) had served a show cause notice to the legislator for his anti-party comments.
