The much-talked-about conjoined twins survivor of Odisha Jaga sustained injuries as a miscreant allegedly attacked him and his father Bhuyan Kanhara when they were having a morning walk on the premises of Phulbani District Headquarters Hospital.

Bhuyan has lodged a complaint in this connection at Phulbani Town Police Station. However, as per Bhuyan, no action has been taken against the accused even eight days after the incident.

As per the complaint, a youth allegedly abused and thrashed Bhuyan on November 25 when he along with his son Jaga were having a morning walk on the premises of Phulbani District Headquarters Hospital. When Jaga cried after the incident, the youth also allegedly manhandled him. As a result, Jaga fell down and sustained injuries.

Following the incident, Jaga was immediately admitted in the hospital where a CT scan was done. Jaga’s condition is stated to be stable now.

Meanwhile, Jaga’s father has expressed displeasure over the fact that the accused has not been arrested even eight days after the incident.

“We had come for a morning walk and have tea. However, a person named Nandan rebuked and thrashed me over vehicle parking. He also attacked Jaga who was standing beside me. As a result, Jaga fell down and sustained injury to his head. We have lodged complaints at the Phulbani Town Police Station, CDMO and Collector. However, no action has been taken against the accused in this connection yet,” rued Jaga’s father Bhuyan Kanhara.

No reaction from the IIC of Phulbani Town Police Station and the medical authorities could be obtained in this regard.
