The much-popular reality show College Queen, which was meant for college-going girls of Odisha, has finally got its winner at a star-studded programme recently.
Dhenkanal-based Debolin Baral was crowned as the winner of the reality show which was being aired on Tarang Music.
Mukta Ray of Bhubaneswar and Dibyasha Nayak of Bhadrak were declared as runners-up of College Queen.
Besides, Miss Congeniality award went to Barsha Rani Behura while Miss Beautiful Skin award went to Shramika Mishra.
Similarly, Miss Fashion Icon title went to Prakashini Mishra whereas Miss Photogenic award given to Ananya Biswal.
Awards’ lists do not end here. While Miss Rampwalk and Miss Beauty with Purpose title went to Satadruti Mohanty, Miss Beautiful Eyes title went to Adyahsa Priyadarshini.
Ananya Anupama bagged Miss Beautiful Smile award while Subhalaxmi Sahu got Miss Beautiful Hair. Aliva Dash was given Miss Body Beautiful award.
The jury panel includes celebrities from Odia filmdom Archita Sahu, Tamanna Vyas, Suryamayee Mohapatra, and choreographer Harihar Dash. Fashion designer Zahida Ahmed was among the judges.
Talking to mediapersons, Head of Tarang Music Santanu Kumar Sia said, “The winners were provided MoU as part of the award. This will help them work for Tarang TV, Tarang Plus, Tarang Music and Tarang Cine Productions. The next season of College Queen will include talents residing outside Odisha.”
Selection of winners was based on their performance in acting, dancing, ethnic fashion ramp walk and question answer round.
It is worth important to mention that College Queen reality show came into being six months back in which 2,000 contestants from 11 cities such as Cuttack, Balasore, Baripada, Bhadrak, Berhampur, Nayagarh, Dhenkanal, Jajpur, Angul, Bhubaneswar and Jagatsinghpur participated.
As many as 40 City Queens were selected from each city and out of them 12 qualified for the finale which was held on November 30 in Bhubaneswar.
