With the morning chills continuing to prevail over western and interior parts of Odisha, temperature in some parts of Kandhamal district in particular have begun to plummet further.

As per the India Meteorological Department (IMD), G Udaygiri in Kandhamal recorded a minimum temperature of 9.4 degree Celsius on Monday. Kirei in Sundargarh also recorded a minimum temperature of 9.5 degrees.

Similarly, Daringibadi and Phulbani in Kandhamal district registered minimum temperature of 10.5 and 11 degrees respectively.

The minimum temperature in Koraput district too is hovering between 10 and 12 degree Celsius.

As per the IMD, the minimum temperature (night temperature) is very likely to fall by 2-4 degrees over the districts of Odisha during the next two to three days. On Monday, several parts of the state experienced shallow to moderate fog. This caused some problems for the commuters on the road, especially during early morning hours.

On Tuesday, Bhubaneswar recorded a minimum night temperature of 14.6 degree Celsius.

The IMD has predicted shallow to moderate fog at one or two places over the districts of interior Odisha today.

Dry weather is very likely to prevail over all the districts of Odisha for the next five days.
