CM Mohan Majhi with PM Modi
Chief Minister Mohan Majhi has extended an invitation to Prime Minister Narendra Modi to partake in this year’s grand Rath Yatra festivities, informed Odisha Deputy CM Pravati Parida. An invite has also been sent to Home Minister Amit Shah and other key figures, including Union Ministers and Chief Ministers from states governed by the National Democratic Alliance (NDA), she revealed.
The Chief Minister is also seeking the presence of the Prime Minister and the Home Minister at the event commemorating the first anniversary of the BJP government in Odisha, said Parida, upon returning from a trip to New Delhi.
“Our CM has invited PM Modi for this year’s Rath Yatra and to commemorate the first anniversary of the BJP government in Odisha. PM Modi might consider the invitation. The invite has also been extended to HM Amit Shah and all Union Ministers and CMs of NDA-led states,” the Deputy CM told media persons at the airport.
The Rath Yatra, an annual chariot festival, draws millions of devotees and is a culturally significant event in the state. This year in June 27, it hopes to shine even brighter with the potential presence of national leaders. Followers and residents are anticipating this event with great enthusiasm, as it highlights both religious unity and political solidarity in the region.
