CHSE official arrested by Odisha Vigilance after multiple raids

The Vigilance sleuths have arrested Purendra Kumar Sethy, Record Supplier of Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE), Odisha, Bhubaneswar on DA charges.

The action from the anti-corruption agency came after it unearthed one multi-storey building spanned over 10, 880 sqft area in Bhubaneswar, deposits worth around Rs 16.77 lakh, two four-wheelers and Rs 1.70 lakh in cash following raids on his properties on Wednesday.

Surprisingly, the Vigilance also recovered 16 benami RORs (Land Pattas of different sizes of plots) during the raid which is under verification.

Vigilance teams comprising three DSPs, one Assistant Commandant, five ASIs and other staff raided the properties of Sethy in connection with Disproportionate Assets (DA) allegations.

Apart from Bhubaneswar, raids were carried out at CHSE record supplier’s paternal house in Jagatsinghpur and office room at Samatrapur in Bhubaneswar.
