The annual Plus 2 examinations conducted by the Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE) will begin today across the State. On the first day, Science stream students will appear for the Odia (MIL) paper.
The examination for Arts and Commerce stream students will begin tomorrow.
According to sources, a total of 3,93,618 students will appear for the exams in 1,276 centers across Odisha. While 2,47,391 students are from Arts stream, 1,14,980 are from Science, 25,526 are from Commerce, and 5,721 are from Vocational Education.
The exams will be held from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM and will continue until March 27 across 22 sittings.
In a bid to prevent malpractice, a five-tier squad has been deployed, and CCTV cameras have been installed in all exam centers.

The council aims to declare the results within 45 days of the exam’s completion. Authorities have also warned of strict action against anyone found involved in question paper leaks or spreading rumors.
While there is no change in the syllabus, the exam pattern has been modified, focusing more on objective-type questions instead of subjective ones.
