Odisha BJP Leaders Campaigning In Chhattisgarh
As the election environment heats up in Chhattisgarh, political leaders from Odisha have joined the campaign trail for their respective parties.
As per reports, leaders from National parties like Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Congress are campaigning in Chhattisgarh to ensure the win of their respective candidates.
BJP MP Basant Panda who is campaigning in Jagdalpur, said, “BJP is the only party which has succeeded in putting Bharat in the league of powerful nations. I am sure we will win here with the great love the people of Jagdalpur have for our party.”
Similarly, Odisha Women Congress general secretary, Gitanjali Panigrahi said, “The political environment in Chhattisgarh is pro-congress. People here want Congress to win as women can truly be empowered if we come to power. I am hopeful that we will win here with a huge margin.”
Chhattisgarh will go to the assembly polls in two phases on November 7 and 17, and the counting of votes will be on December 3. Voters of 20 assembly constituencies will exercise their franchise on November 7 while the rest 70 seats will go to polls on November 17. The nomination process for the first phase of the Chhattisgarh polls will begin on October 13, while the last date for withdrawing from the contest is October 23.
For the second phase of Chhattisgarh polls, the nomination process will begin on October 21 with the last date to withdraw candidature on November 2.
