Governor Prof Ganeshi Lal addressing the gathering
The first edition of the OTV Business Odisha Awards was held in Bhubaneswar on Saturday. On this occasion, eminent personalities, who have excelled in the fields of business, education, products, services, technology, and social change were awarded.
Governor Prof Ganeshi Lal attended the event as the Chief Guest. While addressing the gathering, the Governor laid emphasis on the responsibilities of entrepreneurs in taking the business to new heights.
“The awards should have been given to the starters, the skill managers by Khimji, Lalchand and JSW. I would have been happier if the award had been given by Khimji to the budding and blooming jewelers of Odisha,” he said.
The Bharatiya Janata Party’s Bhubaneswar MP, Aparajita Sarangi also graced the event and addressed the gathering. “Why should Odisha Television get into Business Awards at all? Odisha TV stands for each one of us. Odisha TV works for the society. This is an indication of that. The media channels can’t distance themselves from society. By bringing the voices of the people living in the society to the fore, they should create a positive environment. When a positive environment is created, it encourages those who are doing good work.”
