A bull reportedly went on a rampage and killed an elderly man on the streets of Bhubaneswar on Sunday. Meanwhile, many other residents have also suffered injuries in the bull attack.

The usually quiet Padmakesharpur area in Patia of the Capital city woke up to the bull rage that had its residents literally on the run. The animal went berserk and killed an elderly person while injuring many others.

The bull reportedly charged at the elderly man and threw him to the air, leading to his death. The incident sparked panic among the residents who then fear to step out of their house.

A few locals tried to chase it away, but the animal instead scared them, who had to then run helter-skelter to save their lives. The efforts of locals to tame it didn't bear the fruit.

Sources said, the bull was on a rampage for the last two days, but the BMC failed miserably to tranquilize it. This reportedly forced locals to stay indoors for safety and many didn't move out of their houses for daily chores or to go to office..

However, the bull was later caught by a team of BMC and kept at Kanjia Huda (enclosure).
