BSF officer from Assam found dead at Odisha's Rourkela Railway Station
In a shocking development, authorities are investigating the death of a Border Security Force (BSF) officer at Rourkela railway station. The officer, Sanjay Das, aged 39 from Assam, was serving at a BSF camp in Chhattisgarh
Background Of The Incident
Das had been travelling back to his post in Chhattisgarh after visiting family in Assam. His journey took an unexpected turn while aboard the Gitanjali Express.
While travelling, Das was discovered unconscious by Railway Protection Force (RPF) personnel when the train halted at Chakradharpur station around 22:00 on Thursday. The RPF immediately contacted the Government Railway Police (GRP) at Rourkela.
Upon the train's arrival at Rourkela at approximately 23:30, GRP officers swiftly transported Das to the station's attending physician, who confirmed his death.

Following a post-mortem examination, Das’ body was handed over to BSF officials. The circumstances surrounding his demise remain unclear, prompting an ongoing investigation.
