Matric Exam Results on May 26
The Board of Secondary Education (BSE) Odisha stated that the Class X matriculation results will be declared in the first week of May, stated board president Shrikanth Tarai following the conclusion of the exams today. He also added that evaluation of the answer sheets will start from March 19.
“Starting 19th of this month we will begin the evaluation of the answer sheets and are aiming to release the results by the first week of May, as long as there are no delays due to natural calamities or other unavoidable circumstances,” stated Tarai in an interaction with OTV.
In the same interaction, he expressed gratitude to all the district collectors, administrative officials, police forces, as well as media persons for ensuring the smooth conduct of the examinations. Additionally, he also noted that the various security measures taken by the board including barcodes and watermarks were successful in preventing leaks and other disruptions.
For this exam, the BSE incorporated watermarks, barcodes, and encrypted security numbers on each paper to trace any leaks back to their source. The board had also set up an elaborate central command centre that monitored the activities of the examination centres via a live feed, which Tarai acknowledged in his statement.
Over 5 lakh students appeared for the matriculation exams conducted by the state government’s BSE this year, including students appearing for the Madhyama and State Open School Certificate exams. Further, the exams were held across 3,133 centres across Odisha and were held from 9:00 to 11:30 am on each exam day.
