Boy critical after father brands him with hot iron for not going to school in Angul

Children are innocent and often they do some mischief out of curiosity. There are kids who sometimes do not feel like going to school or tuition as well. But the incident of a father allegedly branding his own son with a hot iron for not going to school has sent shock waves in Odisha’s Angul.

The 12-year-old boy is now critical and it is alleged that his father reprimanded him and subjected him to such cruelty after being instigated by his second wife. The shocking incident has been reported from Chhendipada.

As per reports, the boy was subjected to torture by his father Subhash Pradhan. It is not for the first time that the minor was being tortured by his father Subhash and stepmother.

The grandmother of the minor boy initially had narrated the matter to some local villagers who then alert the officials of the Childline.

On getting information, Childline officials rushed to the village and rescued the minor boy. Both Subhash and his second wife have been detained by Chhendipada Police in connection with the incident.
