A bomb threat letter was found in a Delhi-bound flight at Bhubaneswar airport. Passengers were deboarded for inspection, causing potential delays.

Amid a spate of hoax bomb threats issued to airlines, a bomb threat letter was recovered from a flight at Bhubaneswar airport on Monday. 

As per sources, the letter was found from the plane that was about to take off for Delhi. 

Taking the matter seriously, the airport authorities were learned to have launched a thorough inspection after asking the passengers to deboard the plane. 

As per the latest information, the sources were of the view that the said plane may get further delayed in its journey.

Notably, a hoax bomb threat message was received at the same Bhubaneswar Airport on October 24. The message was received through X (formerly Twitter) mentioning that bombs had been planted in several flights of Air Akasa.

After receiving the call, the airport authorities carried out security checks and declared it was a hoax call.
