The FIR was registered upon a complaint filed by Anang Uday Singh Deo and his domestic help Savita Jha in Dehradun, Uttarakhand.

As per the complaint, Adrija and her father Ajay Singh had made casteist comments to Arkesh and his father Anang Uday Singh Deo when the latter resisted an extended construction by Ajay Singh at their Dehradun house.

Earlier, Adrija had brought serious allegations of domestic violence, dowry torture against her husband and in-laws. She had lodged a complaint in this regard at a Dehradun police station against her father-in-law Ananga Udaya Singh Deo, mother-in-law Bijaylaxmi Devi, brother-in-law (her husband’s elder brother) Kalikesh Narayan Singh Deo and sister-in-law (wife of her husband’s elder brother) Meghana Rana.

Adrija recently met Uttrakhand Director General of Police (DGP) and demanded justice, sources informed, adding that, the DGP has handed over the case to Dehradun Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP).

Arkesh’s wife Adrija is the granddaughter of former Prime Minister Vishwanath Pratap Singh.
