Blood donation camp held at OTV head office in collaboration with Indian Red Cross Society

A voluntary blood donation camp was organized at Odisha Television Network's (OTV) head office in Bhubaneswar in collaboration with the Indian Red Cross Society on Wednesday.

Scarcity of blood is found during medical emergencies of several patients. In a bid to create awareness and contribute to the noble cause, the blood donation camp was organised on OTV premises.

Business Development Head of OTV, Litisha Mangat Panda, Human Resource head, Lt Colonel CK Jena and many other employees voluntarily donated blood as part of the noble cause.

“Blood donation is a noble act. We are happy to be a part of it. We don’t know exactly how much blood a patient needs in case of emergency at the hospital. It’s a noble cause and I encourage everybody to donate blood,” said Litisha Mangat Panda.

 “We thought let’s organize some awareness campaign so that more and more people can be aware of the real requirement of blood and the importance of donating to this noble cause. With that aim, OTV in collaboration with the Indian Red Cross Society organised the blood donation camp. The initiative is aimed at creating more awareness and knowledge about donating blood,” said Lt Colonel Jena.
