BJP took a dig at Odisha government again on Sunday over the deteriorating law and order situation in the State.

As per the allegation by the saffron party, incidents like- miscreants hacking a youth in the Capital City by chasing him on broad daylight, growing instances of gold chain snatching from women, and cyber frauds on a daily basis have exposed the incapability of Odisha police.

Moreover, the murder of Cabinet Minister Naba Das and Mamita Meher case has further exposed the incompetency of State police.

The party has further alleged that the Odisha police has gone into a state of inertia due to the poor governance by the State government.

“The state governed by Naveen Patnaik government has turned out to be a safe haven for criminals. If we open today’s newspapers, the reports about rampant criminal activities in the State will raise a question mark over the duty of police. As police are not doing their duty properly, these kinds of criminal activities are increasing in the State,” said BJP spokesperson Manoj Mohapatra.

“The Chief Minister must give a clarification regarding the matter before the people of Odisha. He should give the clarification immediately for the safety and security of the future of Odia people,” he added.

However, no comments from BJD could be obtained over BJP’s allegations.
