Odisha 5T secretary VK Pandian continues to face the wrath of the Opposition parties for his political visits across the State. After the ink attack in Puri, the 5T secretary’s visit was opposed in Jharsuguda on Sunday. The BJP workers staged the demonstration in Jharsuguda.

Under the leadership of Odisha State BJP Secretary Tankadhar Tripathy, the saffron party workers put up posters and showed black flags while staging a dharna at Jharsuguda old bus stand opposing Pandian’s visit to the district.

The protesting workers also conducted a meeting and raised slogans against the State government and Pandian. Jharshuguda police reportedly detained some BJP workers near Shiva talkies.

“It is quite unfortunate that a bureaucrat is visiting various parts of the State to hear the grievances of people. Moreover, the MLAs and Ministers are preparing tents for those meetings. The administrative officials and BJD workers are bringing people, students, and SHG members to the meeting place on Sunday. Who has given such an order?” questioned Tripathy.

“Who is this officer to visit various parts of the State in the chopper with Odisha taxpayers’ money. It is a great humiliation of democracy in Odisha,” he added.

Meanwhile, no comments were obtained from the BJD leaders on the matter.
