Devotees in large numbers thronged the Tulasi Kshetra Kendrapara to witness Rath Yatra as the Brahma Taladhwaja chariot of Lord Baladev Jew resumed its journey to Mausi Maa Temple on Wednesday.

The gigantic chariot could not be pulled following sunset on Tuesday.

People from all walks of life participated in the pulling of the chariot and BJP National Vice President, Baijayant Panda also took part in the celebrations.

“Those who get a chance to pull the chariots are fortunate. This is a very auspicious day for Kendrapara. Like in previous years, devotees in large numbers have come here. I am very happy to be here,” said Baijayant Panda.

It is believed that after getting a glimpse of Rath Yatra in Puri, if a person witnesses Rath Yatra of Lord Baladev Jew, then salvation is achieved.

Earlier today in Puri, Lord Jagannath’s chariot Nandighosha and Goddess Subhadra’s chariot Debadalana reached Gundicha Temple after chariot pulling resumed. On Tuesday, the pulling of Nandighosha and Debadalana were halted at Mausi Maa Square and Badasankha in Puri respectively.
