BJP National VP Baijayant Panda mourns death of MLA Sidhant Mohapatra’s mother

BJP National Vice President and Kendrapara MP Baijayant Panda expressed deep grief over the demise of Kanaka Mohapatra, the mother of Digapahandi MLA Sidhant Mohapatra.

Visiting the bereaved family, Panda offered his heartfelt condolences and prayed for the departed soul’s eternal peace. He conveyed strength and support to the family during this difficult time.

Taking to his X handled (formerly Twitter), Panda wrote, “I am deeply saddened and profoundly pained by the demise of the mother of our party’s MLA and popular actor Sidhant Mohapatra. Today, I met him and extended my heartfelt condolences and offered words of comfort. Om Shanti.”

Kanaka Mohapatra, aged 87, passed away on Saturday while undergoing treatment. Her death has been widely mourned across political and social circles in the state.

Earlier, Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi also paid his respects by visiting the family and offering condolences. 

The demise has cast a pall of sorrow in the region, with several leaders and well-wishers visiting the family to pay their respects.
