The Opposition BJP in the Odisha Assembly on Wednesday moved a breach of privilege notice against Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik. BJP chief whip Mohan Majhi brought in the breach of privilege notice over the CM’s recent statement in the Assembly on September 25.

In the motion, Majhi said that the Opposition had not sought any statement from the CM. However, CM Naveen Patnaik suo motu gave the statement to shield the 5T Secretary and termed the Opposition ‘anti-people’, he alleged.

Who is anti-people, questioned Majhi while demanding an apology from the CM and expunging the particular statement.

Congress MLA, Santosh Singh Saluja has also brought a breach of privilege notice against Works Department Minister for allegedly giving callous answers. Saluja raised the issued during the Zero Hour and brought the matter to the notice of the Assembly Speaker.
