BJP MLA Prakash Soren admitted to AIIMS-Bhubaneswar 

Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MLA from Baripada, Prakash Soren was hospitalised after complaining of chest pain on Tuesday. 
The BJP legislator was immediately rushed to PRM Medical College and Hospital. 

Sources said the legislator was later shifted to AIIMS Bhubaneswar for further treatment.  

In September 2020, the BJP MLA stoked a major controversy after allegedly assaulting an assistant executive engineer of the Baripada ITDA. 

It was then alleged that the legislator attacked the engineer as the latter did not award contracts to the former’s supporters. 

Following the attack, the engineer lodged a complaint against the legislator and his supporters. Police registered a case and arrested the legislator and three of his supporters.
