BJP MLA Jayanarayan Mishra reiterates his demand for a CBI probe into the murder of former Odisha Minister Naba Das. The Crime Branch questions key witnesses as political tensions rise.

Senior BJP leader and MLA Jaynarayan Mishra has reiterated his demand for a Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) probe into the high-profile murder case of former Odisha Minister Naba Das. Speaking to the media, Mishra stated that he had previously called for a CBI investigation and continues to stand by his demand.

“My demand remains unchanged. If the victim’s family requests the Odisha government for a CBI probe, I will exert pressure on the government to ensure justice. I had earlier mentioned meeting the Chief Minister regarding the case, and today that meeting is set to take place,” said Mishra.

As two years have already passed since the murder of former BJD minister Naba Das, the BJP MLA expressed concerns over possible tampering of crucial documents, questioning their whereabouts and authenticity.

Crime Branch Intensifies Investigation

The Odisha Crime Branch has stepped up its investigation, questioning Naba Das' wife for the second consecutive day on Wednesday. Her statement has been officially recorded and will undergo further scrutiny as part of the ongoing probe.

Statements of Doctors….

Additionally, the Crime Branch has interrogated two doctors who had provided initial medical attention to Naba Das after he was shot. Their statements are expected to provide crucial insights into the case.

In a related development, the investigating team also visited the Jharsuguda airport to gather more evidence, aiming to piece together the sequence of events surrounding the murder.

As the re-investigation into the case unfolds, political tensions continue to rise, with opposition leaders demanding greater transparency and a more thorough investigation.
