BJP leader KV Singh Deo gives lessons on govt provision to BDO, other officials in Kalahandi

In an unusual development, senior BJP leader Kanak Vardhan Singh Deo gave lessons on government provision to the officials of Belapada block in Bolangir district in the presence of BDO Rajesh Meher on Thursday.

The incident came to the fore during the block gherao protest staged by the saffron party leaders against corruption. Joining the protest, Singh Deo gave awareness lessons to the BDO, ABDO, Livelihood Mission Officer, and other officials about their duties and responsibilities.

The senior BJP leader also asked the officials about the grievance applications given by hundreds of block residents to the 5T Secretary two months back. He further asked the officials about the actions taken based on the grievances mentioned in those applications.

Notably, hundreds of people were present during the block gherao. Singh Deo gave many grievance applications of the people pertaining to allowances, ration cards, and other complaints to the administrative officials.

“So many people have given their applications for PM Awas Yojana, different allowances, and job cards. We have submitted those applications to the BDO. The BDO has assured us to sort out the issues within 15 days and provide us details,” said Singh Deo.

“We will try our best to sort out the applications to know the grievances of people in our level within 15 days,” said Belapada BDO Rajesh Meher.
