Meanwhile, BJD leaders have stated that a separate meeting will soon be held in Bhubaneswar to analyze the potential impact of delimitation on Odisha. The party is expected to engage in extensive discussions before taking a final stand on the matter.
Dayanidhi Maran said, "He (Naveen Patnaik) shares our concerns and fears that unfair delimitation will not be good for our states. There are seven states—Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Odisha, and Punjab—that will be directly affected by the delimitation in which our share will be reduced while the northern states' share will increase. These states are developing states which controlled the population, and now we are being made to pay the price for it. Regarding the meeting on March 22nd, he confirmed that he would definitely attend and share his views and he will fight along with us.”
BJD Vice President Debi Prasad Mishra on Tamil Nadu Ministers T. R. B. Rajaa and Dayanidhi Maran meeting with former Odisha CM and LoP Naveen Patnaik said, "They conveyed a message from Mr. Stalin and invited Naveen ji and the BJD to participate in a meeting, possibly around the 22nd of this month, to have a detailed discussion regarding the concerns of Tamil Nadu and 7-8 other states, including Odisha, that might be affected by the upcoming delimitation process.”
