The remark of an MP of the ruling Biju Janata Dal (BJD) during a programme has raised several eyebrows and triggered political buzz in Odisha. BJD Lok Sabha MP from Aska, Pramila Bisoyi, addressed 5T secretary V Karthikeyan Pandian as 'Dear Chief Minister' while speaking before a packed gathering in Ganjam district on Wednesday.

The incident occurred during the virtual flagging off of an OSRTC bus from Ganjam’s Shergad to Puri. Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik virtually flagged off the OSRTC bus that would ply from Shergad to Puri in the presence of VK Pandian.

Interestingly, during her speech, BJD MP Pramila Bisoyi, instead of thanking CM Naveen Patnaik thanked VK Pandian and called him the ‘Chief Minister’.

A video of the whole incident has been going viral in which the parliamentarian was seen beginning her speech with, “Our favourite and No.1 CM Pandian Babu.”

She further went on to say, “Everyone’s favourite CM Pandian has taken the glory of Odisha to the zenith.”

However, it was not immediately known whether it was a slip of the tongue or a big hint at some major political development in the state in future.
