BJD MLA Rajendra Sahoo accused of submitting forged certificates

Begunia MLA Rajendra Sahoo has been accused of submitting fake certificates to contest Assembly elections. One Upendra Kumar Routray has lodged a complaint in this connection with Khordha SJDM Court. Subsequently, case number 1CC-213/2023 has been registered in this regard.

As per the allegation, there are discrepancies in the Matriculation certificate, PAN, and Voter ID cards submitted by Sahoo in the affidavit to contest the Assembly poll. It has been alleged that the PAN cards that Sahoo submitted to the bank for availing loan and during the election are different.

“The complaint has been lodged against Begunia MLA Rajendra Sahoo for submitting two different pairs of Matriculation certificates, PAN card, and Voter ID while availing loan from the bank and contesting Assembly polls.  Various information including his date of birth provided in the documents differs,” said the petitioner’s advocate Santosh Kumar Subudhi.

However, no comments could be obtained from Sahoo regarding the allegations made against him.
