Former minister of State for Home and Junagarh MLA Captain Dibya Shankar Mishra, who was embroiled in controversy in the sensational murder case of lady teacher Mamita Meher, has hogged the headlines again.

Social media platforms are now abuzz that the legislator is all set to get married again. If the speculations are to be believed, the BJD MLA will tie the nuptial knot at Puri in February last week.

According to sources, Mishra will marry a woman from Dekota village under Golamunda block in Junagarh Assembly constituency. This will be the second marriage for Mishra and his partner.

Notably, the BJD legislator was first married to a woman in Jaypatna but he got separated as his marriage did not work due to certain reasons.

It is worthwhile to mention here that, Mishra was entangled in the controversy after his name surfaced in the brutal murder case lady teacher Mamita Meher of Sunshine Public School at Mahaling in Kalahandi district.

Clarifying his association with Mahaling, Mishra had said that he was the president of the governing body of Mahaling College and the prime accused, late Gobinda Sahu happened to be a member of that body.

Even though, Mishra claimed that he has no links with Gobinda Sahu, the prime accused in the murder case and never been to the school, chief minister Naveen Patnaik had taken away the Home portfolio from him during the cabinet reshuffle.

Notably, Mamita Meher, a resident of Jharni village under Turekela Block of Bolangir district, who worked as a teacher at Sunshine English Medium School in Mahaling of Kalahandi district, went missing on October 8, 2021. Prime accused Govind Sahu was the managing committee president of the educational institution.

Her decomposed body was exhumed from an under-construction stadium at Mahaling in Kalahandi district on October 19.

Sahu allegedly murdered Mamita, chopped off her body, and set it on fire before burying it under the ground. Sahu also torched her bag, and mobile phone to damage the evidence.

On 20 December, Gobinda Sahu reportedly died by suicide inside Kantabanji jail in Bolangir district.
