BJD leaders bow before Pandian because they don’t have power: BJP MP Pratap Sarangi

Senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader and Balasore MP Pratap Sarangi on Saturday launched a broadside against the leaders of the ruling Biju Janata Dal (BJD). 

The Parliamentarian said that they (BJD leaders) are trying to draw power from VK Pandian as they feel Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has been devoid of any power. 

“The BJD leaders don’t have any power of their own. They were powerful because of Naveenbabu’s power. Now, they have started feeling that Naveenbabu is powerless. This is why they are trying to draw power from Pandian. And, this is why they are bowing before Pandian,” added Sarangi. 

While alleging that political fund is being raised by awarding works to BJD contractors without Palli Sabha or Gram Sabha, Sarangi wished to know how a secretary has been bestowed with so much power by forgetting the constitution. He also alleged that they would pocket crores of rupees without any budget.

While responding to the statement of MP Sarangi, BJD MP Amar Patnaik said, “5T is an implementation framework to achieve what Biju Babu had dreamt of for Odisha. The modalities required for this are being set up. Efforts are on to sharpen them and make them more productive. We have a sole objective to construct a new Odisha.”
