Good news for Odisha passengers! A Vande Bharat express train has started operations between Bhubaneswar and Vishakhapatnam on Sunday. The passenger train left the Bhubaneswar station at 5.15 am and reached Vishakhapatnam at 11 am. 

The return journey starts from Visakhapatnam at 3:30 pm and ends at 9:30 pm in Bhubaneswar. The passenger services of this train will not be available on Mondays. 

For a long time, people from various walks of life and outfits had been demanding before the East Coast Railways for daily passenger train service between Bhubaneswar and Vishakhapatnam. 

As per reports, over one lakh people living in Odisha are expected to benefit from the routine train service. The train will make stops at Khurda Road, Balugaon, Berhampur, Ichhapuram, Srikakulam Road, and Vizianagaram on the Bhubaneswar -Visakhapatnam route

Expressing his happiness over the train service, a passenger said, ”I booked a ticket for the train to have an experience on the train’s maiden journey. The train reaches Berhampur at 7.30 pm and Vishakhapatnam at 11 am. The sitting facility on the train is very good. There is the provision of meals. I just wanted to feel how this journey to Berhampur will be.”       

Another passenger said, ”I am going to Vizag. I feel the facilities inside the train are similar to a flight. But one thing that I lack is the charging point.
