Bhubaneswar-Puri road to be developed into 6-lane access control highway

The proposal for the development of a six-lane access controlled highway with two-lane service road on both sides of Bhubaneswar - Puri (NH-316) has been approved.

Apart from the Bhubaneswar-Puri road, Barbil - Chandikhole road will also be developed with six-lane access control with two-lane service road on both sides, informed Odisha government.

In a letter to the National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) Regional Officer, the Odisha government’s Works Department has asked the concerned department to prepare a Detailed Project Report (DPR) of the above projects.

The officials have been asked to make a presentation before the Odisha Chief Secretary for finalization of the alignment and controlled access locations.
