Bhubaneswar IIT girl student from New Delhi dies by suicide by jumping off hostel building

In a shocking incident, a third-year B. Tech student from New Delhi studying at Bhubaneswar IIT, allegedly died by suicide by jumping off the hostel roof. The young girl’s body was spotted in a pool of blood on the IIT campus late Tuesday night.

The reason for her taking the extreme step is yet to be ascertained.

Students rushed to her aid after hearing the sound of her fall and immediately took her to a medical facility inside the IIT campus. She was then shifted to Capital Hospital. However, she was declared dead.

Her body is currently kept in Capital Hospital. Her family members have been informed and they are on their way to Bhubaneswar, sources informed.

A probe to ascertain the reason behind her death is on, police said.
