Bhubaneswar-Goa direct flight from April 2025
In a major boost for the tourism sector, direct flight services to Goa from Biju Patnaik International Airport in Bhubaneswar will be launched from April 1, 2025.
According to the Chief Minister’s Office, IndiGo will provide flight services four days a week under the New Destination Policy of the Odisha government.
The flights will be available on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday.

Chief Minister Mohan Majhi also thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the commencement of direct flight services between Bhubaneswar and Goa citing that this will unlock new horizons for tourism, trade & opportunities.
Biju Patnaik International Airport (BPIA) launched multiple domestic routes in 2025. IndiGo began 4x weekly Indore flights and 3x weekly Dehradun services (January 1), while Air India Express introduced 3x weekly Lucknow/Jaipur routes and daily Kochi flights (January 3). Bengaluru services commenced on January 4. In March, Air India Express added daily Ghaziabad (Hindon)-Bhubaneswar and Port Blair-Bhubaneswar routes (March 30), while IndiGo started Goa-Bhubaneswar flights (April 1).
A new terminal building was announced in October 2024 to accommodate projected passenger growth. The airport's upgrades align with India's aviation sector expansion plans under Civil Aviation Minister K Rammohan Naidu.
