A Class 10 boy student of Jharpada in Bhubaneswar has mysteriously gone missing just one day before the declaration of BSE Matric Exam results. The annual High School Certificate (HSC) examination result is scheduled to be declared today.

Sai Prasad Panda, 16, son of Arup Panda, reportedly disappeared on Wednesday. Even as the exact reason behind his mysterious disappearance is yet to be ascertained, it is suspected that he might have been worried about his results.

According to sources, Sai appeared for the Class 10 examination this year. After the completion of his Board Exam, he had been attending a coaching center for Plus II commerce for the last one and a half months.

Though he used to return home from the coaching center on time, he did not return home on Wednesday night. The worried family members launched a frantic search for him but to no avail.

Later, his father lodged a missing complaint with Sahid Nagar police in this connection.

“He has been attending a coaching institute in Sahid Nagar for Plus II commerce for the last one and a half months. He would go on time and return on time. However, he hasn’t returned today. His class was completed at around 6:15 pm. When he did not return home until 8 pm, I first called the coaching institute. But, they informed that he had left the coaching center after attending two classes,” said the boy’s father.

“I’m clueless why he hasn’t returned home. So, I had gone to Laxmisagar police station. Now, I have come to Sahid Nagar police station to lodge an FIR,” he added.
